Every morning at 7, Alois starts his battle against rubbish on his iron horse, a Christiania Bike.

His job is fun. This can be seen in his smile when he climbs back onto his converted bike and pushes the bell like a tram. The signal for “Achtung, I am moving!”
If Alois does not follow the “handy cleaning service”, he exchanges a few nice words with the people he sees every day on his tour: innkeepers, market traders, commuters …
The Christiania is ideal: its maneuverability allows Alois to slalom around market stalls and down narrow alleyways.
Graz has had two Christiania for three years. There are now plans to start using cargobikes at other towns in the region.
