Smart connectivity app

The IoT Module
The IoT modules ensure that your cargo bike is safer and more future-proof. With the IoT modules, you can use the Christiania Bikes app to access smart features like GPS tracking, motion alarms, drive system immobilizer, bike power and light control and more.
Now you can also share your Christiania bike digitally with other family members or use the sharing as part of a rental or leasing service.
The module is in sleep mode when you get it. As soon as a module is powered (6V-15V), the module is activated and the Bluetooth function is activated. The module can then be found inside the Christiania Bikes app.
The main features include:
GPS tracking: Riders can track their bike’s live location via the app at all times.
Movement alerts: If the bike is moved while locked, riders receive an instant notification to their phones to check if the bike is safe.
Alarm: Sound warnings and full alarm are triggered when someone is tampering with the bike in locked mode. Also, sounds indicate locking and unlocking status changes.
Drivetrain Immobiliser: When the bike is in locked state, the IoT turns the bike off automatically.
Bike control: Users can control power, assist level and lights from the app, and navigate and track their rides using the app.
Digital Bike Passport: A secure digital record of the bike’s and IoT’s information for proof of ownership and insurance claims.
Share My Bike and Location sharing: The bike owners can share the location and digital access to their bike.

We offer two IoT devices.
The integrated IoT, which sits inside the frame of the midDrive
The Integrated IoT is more advanced than the Guardian IoT below and includes an immobilizer, integrated buzzer and is connected directly to the Shimano drive unit. The integrated IoT has a main chip located inside the frame and a GPS signal located under the steering. Should the thief cut the GPS signal, the main chip also contains a GSM signal, which can also be used to track the bike if necessary. Unfortunately, this signal is not as accurate as the GPS signal. The buzzer is mounted partially inside the frame. If the bike is stolen, the buzzer will sound an alarm.
It is included FREE on all new midDrive bikes. Membership fees apply after twelve months.
The Guardian IoT, which can be mounted on all bikes.
Guardian IoT is mounted under the steering as stated in the manual. This is important to ensure the best possible signal. Guardian IoT is connected either via the controller’s light cable or via the 12V socket on Shimano’s EP6 motor unit. Guardian IoT primarily contains motion sensor and GPS. Guardian IoT must have a minimum of 6V and must not be connected with more than 15V.
The front light must be on, otherwise Guardian IoT will not charge. It is therefore recommended to set the light to always on in settings on the display.
