We are thrilled to announce that Christiania Bikes is now introducing Comodule connectivity to its e-bikes in the UK. This innovative feature enables riders to track and control their bikes through the Christiania Bikes app, offering enhanced security and convenience.
Enhanced Security and Control
With e-bike theft on the rise, Comodule connectivity will be included as standard on all new midDrive Christiania e-bikes and is available as an optional update for existing e-bikes. The advanced tracking, anti-theft, and bike control features, along with the new Share My Bike feature, have been well received by our customers.
The IoT module, integrated into the bike, connects it to the cloud, allowing bike owners to track and control their bikes via the Christiania Bikes application.
Key Features of Smart Connectivity
- GPS Tracking: Riders can track their bike’s live location via the app at all times.
- Movement Alerts: If the bike is moved while locked, riders receive an instant notification to their phones.
- Alarm: Sound warnings and a full alarm are triggered when someone tampers with the bike in locked mode. Sounds also indicate locking and unlocking status changes.
- Drivetrain Immobiliser: When the bike is locked, the IoT turns the bike off automatically.
- Bike Control: Users can control power, assist level, and lights from the app, and navigate and track their rides.
- Digital Bike Passport: A secure digital record of the bike’s and IoT’s information for proof of ownership and insurance claims.
- Share My Bike and Location Sharing: Bike owners can share the location and digital access to their bike.

With our app and award-winning technology from Comodule, you can now take full digital control of your Christiania bike and protect it wherever you are.
- Built-in GPS Tracker: Monitor your Christiania bike live via the Christiania Bikes app. The bike’s location is updated in real-time when the bike is in motion and will show the user the last time of movement.
- Digital Lock: Lock and unlock your e-bike via the Christiania app. If your locked bike is moved, IoT sends a motion alert to your phone. Autolock ensures hands-free safety for the user. The bike automatically locks when the user moves out of Bluetooth range and unlocks when you return.
- Motion Notification and Alarm: If the locked bike is moved, IoT sends a motion alert to your phone. When a bike is locked and touched, warning sounds are triggered. When the bike is moved for a longer period of time, a full anti-theft alarm will go off.
- Control Over Your Drive: You can turn the bike and its lights on and off and set the assistance level via the Christiania Bikes app. The app has a digital dashboard to show your bike’s speed, distance traveled, your battery’s state of charge, and much more. You can also use the navigation function and record all journeys.
- Digital ID: The unique frame number on your Christiania bike is linked to a digital ID in the app. If someone tries to edit the frame number of your Christiania bike, the IoT device’s digital ID can prove that you are the bike’s owner.
